Who we are

Chesmar Homes was established by seasoned industry professionals in 2005.  After garnering years of experience with national building companies, they came together with the intent of producing a product of outstanding quality and value with cutting edge design and high-performance: A home that they would be proud to build and homeowners would be proud to own for years to come.  They also set about creating a supportive structure, in which employees would act and excel at their jobs—a culture of respect, communication, integrity and fun.

Giving Back

In 2007 Chesmar Homes became involved with the Greater Houston Builders Association Benefit Home Project.  Partnering with vendors and developers to build a project home. The profits from the project homes benefit Texas Children’s Cancer Center, HomeAid Houston and Alzheimers Association.  Chesmar Homes is honored to have built homes for three consecutive years for the project in the Houston area.  Chesmar Homes is also proud to have participated in Mayor White’s award winning Houston-Hope, LARA project, building five affordable, energy efficient homes in the historical community of Acres Homes. Chesmar Homes participated in the 2009 Texas Children's Hospital-Heal Sick Children Campaign by donating a portion of the profits from each of the homes that closed during a three month period and is proud to partner again in 2010 with the campaign, donating a portion of the Houston August, September and October closings.

Celebrating our Accomplishments

While 2009 was a difficult year for many in the homebuilding industry, it was a great year for Chesmar Homes.  In February 2009, the Greater Houston Builders Association named Chesmar Homes “Builder of the Year.”  In July, Chesmar Homes celebrated the 1000th closed home.  In September the company excitedly launched it’s San Antonio division and our leader, Don Klein was awarded “Humanitarian of the Year” at the GHBA’s Houston’s Best Awards.  While Chesmarian’s delight in celebrating accomplishments (as it is an important part of our culture!), we are hard at work making sure every aspect of your new home meets or exceeds your expectations.
