Dallas Team Bio
President Chesmar Homes DFW, Ltd.
Randy has almost 30 years of home building experience, dating back to 1985. He began his career as a construction manager for a large Texas builder, quickly working his way to various mid-level management positions. He then went on to serve twelve years as Division President for a regional builder and eight years as Division President for one of the nation’s largest private builders. Randy joined Chesmar Homes in 2013.
Growing up in a small town in Indiana, Randy made the move to Dallas in 1977 in search of opportunity. While pursuing a degree in journalism, he got a job in construction, loved it, and never looked back. Randy and his wife Jo have four adult children, all of whom live in the Dallas area, and three grandchildren.
Randy enjoys “building things” – homes, organizations, teams. He says he is proud to be a part of a company that shares his values for honesty, integrity, and giving back to the community. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, boating, and landscape gardening
Eric started his career in residential construction while attending Texas A&M School of Architecture, graduating in 1984. He has over 30 years of experience in residential and light commercial remodeling and new construction. As a Senior Builder, Project Manager, VP of Operations, and small business owner he has overseen the construction of hundreds of homes ranging from 1800 to over 7900 sq.ft., and up to $1.7million in cost. He has been in the D/FW homebuilding market since 1993 after spending several years in the Raleigh/Durham area. Eric joined Chesmar Homes D/FW in April of 2013 as Vice President of Operations.
Eric has been happily married for 24 years to his beautiful wife, Erin. They have an amazing son, Ethan; who, despite the challenges of Cerebral Palsy, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts, lettered in choir and football, and now attends Oklahoma State University.
He is an avid volunteer for Boy Scouts of America and has been instrumental in starting both a new Cub Scout Pack and a new Boy Scout troop. He still volunteers a great deal of his time as an Assistant Scoutmaster. When not engaged in Boy Scout activities, he loves spending his time fishing on Lake Texoma or camping with his family.
Eric is proud of his career in the homebuilding industry and firmly believes in treating everyone with honesty, dignity, and respect. His favorite part of the business is seeing the joy on a customer’s face when they move into their beautiful new home.
