Chesmar has been a sponsor for HomeAid’s Project Playhouse fundraiser, as well as dedicating a portion of the proceeds from each of the division’s closed homes to the organization for 2015 and 2016.
- Construction of a Habitat for Humanity home called Preston’s Project, allowed a Mom and her four daughters to take possession of their brand new home on Christmas Eve 2015. The force behind the project is Preston Haynes, then a second grade student at Bauerschlag Elementary in League City. He was able to secure over $2,000 in donations to start the project to provide a family with a home. Chesmarians worked with Preston, the Bay Area Habitat for Humanity, vendors and suppliers to build the home.
