Eldon describes himself as happy, competitive and dependable. He and his wife of 40 years, Susan, live on private acreage near Lake Travis with their sheltie, Teddy. They have one daughter, Rachel, and two grandchildren, Lucas and Sydney – AND they live in a Chesmar home! Eldon is pretty competitive and he loves playing cards with his friends in his “man cave”, AKA his favorite place to hang out. He loves Texas football and is a Dallas Cowboys fan. He is passionate about his family and making the time to travel.
We asked him what a younger Eldon aspired to be when he grew up and he commented: “I’m not sure I am there yet.” A favorite quote of his is “I never saw a wild thing sorry for himself” – D.H Lawerence. He is proud to work for a company that really cares about the customer experience. Chesmar Homes walks the walk!
When asked what makes Chesmar special he replied “The Chesmar difference to me is summed up in one of our core beliefs. “The freedom and responsibility to grow, challenge and create” Great companies are always willing to be different, and challenge the norm. If you surround yourself with people that truly care, and let them thrive, great things will happen. The people in the Chesmar family care about the homeowner experience. It is my pleasure to work with a company that does not just talk about it, they are about it.”
