Meet the Family

Hunter Weakley

New Home Consultant

Hunter describes himself as faithful, resilient, and fun. He is married to most beautiful woman he has ever seen, Maddie. They have two children, Preslee and Barrett. Hunter and his family share their life with their dogs: Fisher, a teacup Yorkie, Jazz, an ever-faithful chocolate lab, and Colt, a silver Doberman with a chewing problem. They live southeast of San Antonio, where Hunter calls home his “slice of heaven.” When Hunter is not working he finds himself outside, calling on his Kentucky hills roots. Hunter loves outdoor hobbies, including gardening. His favorite hotspot is his home. Hunter is passionate about his children, as they are the ones he will have the biggest impact on.

Hunter has two favorite quotes. “Earth’s crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God, but only he who sees takes off his shoes; the rest sit around it and pluck blackberries.” – Elizabeth B. Browning

“I’ll be your Huckleberry.” –Doc Holliday

A younger Hunter wanted to be a farmer like his grandfather and a standup comedian. Hunter says his life, in general, became his standup act, but the passion still burns in him to watch things grow. That is what draws Hunter to home building. He gets to see homes grow from foundations to families, from smiles to tears of joy, and from a development to a community.

When asked what makes Chesmar special Hunter says, “Chesmar puts a lot of faith in its employees – faith to make right choices, faith to run our communities in a grass roots style. Chesmar makes the community about me, which allows me to make your home about you. At Chesmar you feel like you are part of something bigger than yourself, they are there at your birthday party, they show up at the hospital when your children are born, they mourn your losses with you, and they hold you up in those times you are too weak to stand on your own. Chesmar is more than a builder, Chesmar is my family.”
