Jeff Johnson
Division President - South

Jeff would describe himself as confident, honest and optimistic. He met and married his wife Lacy when he was in the Army and they have been together 18 years. They have two daughters, Molly & Lindsay, and their furry companion, Buddy the dog.
Away from work, Jeff and Lacy enjoy watching and cheering on his daughters at sporting events and spending as much time as possible outdoors. Jeff grew up in the small town of Maryville, Missouri, and played sports in high school for the famous Maryville Spoofhounds. His passion for homebuilding stemmed from his first framing job & right away he knew he wanted to be in the industry. Jeff is a 1996 graduate of West Point, spent 5 years leading armored cavalry soldiers, and was a Captain in the US Army when he decided to pursue his homebuilding career. He spent 17 years at a large public homebuilder and left a Regional VP position in order to come join Chesmar Homes.
When asked what makes Chesmar special Jeff says, “This is a special place for me because of the unique and extraordinary people who planted the first Chesmar flag with a belief that we can be better than the rest not just by WHAT we do, but by HOW we do it – never losing sight of WHY we do it. This industry is full of pioneers with a “roll up your sleeves” mentality, but what makes Chesmar special for me is getting a chance to make a difference every day alongside the very best leaders in this noble profession of building dreams for Texas families.”
