Mickey grew up in an Air Force family so he lived in many states all over the country growing up. He returned to his home state of Colorado to attend Colorado State University. There he received his degree in Landscape Design and Contracting, a bit different than his childhood aspirations of being an Astronaut. After college in the Spring of ’07 he moved to Austin where he worked for a landscape architect downtown. After realizing cubicles were not for him, he ventured into the remodeling industry for six years. He made his way into new home construction in 2014 and in 2017 found his new home as part of the Chesmar family!
Mickey is a fun, loving, and easy-going guy who loves spending his free time with his wife Sonja, and two kids Brailey and James. As an avid sports enthusiast, he can often be found playing golf and cheering on his favorite team the New England Patriots. His favorite quote is “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘til your good is better and your better is best.” Mickey believes that the people are what makes Chesmar special and is happy to be able to call himself a Chesmarian.
