Rachael is originally from Houston, but she graduated from UT Austin and she bleeds burnt orange. Hook ‘em! Outside of work, she enjoys dinner parties and game nights with close friends, happy hours on some of Austin’s finest outdoor patios, and traveling. Her latest travels have taken her to places like New Zealand, Alaska, and Nicaragua. Rachael believes Nicaragua has some of the nicest people, and the sloths are pretty stellar too! Otis Redding is her Goldendoodle and her pride and joy. In fact, there’s the most adorable photo of him in her model home office!
Rachael was recently touched by a piece from Brene Brown’s “Parenting Manifesto” and she would like to share it with you.
“Above all else, I want you to know that you are loved and lovable. You will learn this from my words and actions–the lessons on love are in how I treat you and how I treat myself.
I want you to engage with the world from a place of worthiness. You will learn that you are worthy of love, belonging, and joy every time you see me practice self-compassion and embrace my own imperfections.
We will practice courage in our family by showing up, letting ourselves be seen, and honoring vulnerability. We will share our stories of struggle and strength. There will always be room in our home for both
I want you to know joy, so together we will practice gratitude.
We will laugh and sing and dance and create. We will always have permission to be ourselves with each other. No matter what, you will always belong here.”
She would describe herself as joyful, driven and empathetic. Rachael adores her family and shares that they are perfectly imperfect. When asked what makes Chesmar special she says “The people, hands down. We want to make a difference and we care about making a difference in your life.”
